Title: new member Spondon Derby
Post by: SpondonTiger on March 13, 2019, 10:51:17 AM
Many thanks for letting me join this board.

I am no stranger to biking having had bikes all my life. I recently and awaiting delivery of my brand new Tiger 800 XRX.

I took the decision to come out of my company car and commute to work when the Tiger is delivered at the tender age of 53, i hope i can (body  :001:) with stand the daily rigors of motorcycling. 70 mile round trip.

My weekend bike is a Hayabusa Gen 1, built for straight line speed with nutritious etc. I am also an Isle of Man TT Marshall. ACU approved marshal.

I will be taking the Tiger this year instead of the Hayabusa, which is more than capable of touring, but looking forward to a more relaxed approach with all the kit that is needed for camping for a fortnight.

I would be keen to meet up with fellow Tiger owners from the midlands ( i live in Spondon Derby) for ride outs and start to forge new relationships with fellow Triumph owners.

Looking forward to my new experience with British built motorcycles, all i have ever known is Japaneses bikes.

Many thanks

Keith

Hi Keith and  :401:

Loads of us not too far from you and I would be more than happy to meet up for a ride / coffee now and then.

Be careful with the newly available power at your wrist   :164:

Welcome to the forum, I'm a little older than you and do a 78 mile round trip commute. It's surprising how quickly the time and miles go when your on a bike.
