So a long time not posting, but everything was dandy and i was riding not typing... Toured most of sourthern Africa while working down there and then back home and many years of happy riding UK and Europe.
Last year had crazy clocks / lights / rough idle and cutout so replaced a duff fuse under the battery (eventually!).
Yesterday riding to Heathrow at 4am and the bloody thing bursts into flames. Crazy clocks, no lights then engine died. Coast to the side and acrid smoke from battery box followed by flames braking through. All i could do was retreat and watch her burn.

Found this chap had same experience
.
So if you have a 2011 early bike then please consider checking the battery box for drainage adjustment. I expect Triumph will tell me where to go when i write to them (not expecting anything, but maybe a recall for others), but if it helps some other poor owner out there then good.
Crazy clocks - beware and check the drainage and fuse if you can. If you can't then try to not set your balls on fire.

Any bets on what pitiful value the insurance will put on it!??
