S..t!
A happy owner of those symptoms. Did occur two days ago. Dealer said, that no software for update is currently available...
800 rpm at idle, engine cut out while deceleration, multiple times...
Oops, there seems to be a long discussion in another thread, sorry.

Don't worry, it's character not a fault
I was advised that the software will be available at the end of August.

At least they are doing a recall.
It took BMW 6 years to replace the FPC on the GS range and I'm not even sure if it was a recall or just replace when they failed.
Bert is a great bike and been trouble free in 12'000 miles.
Would I go back to a BMW, no way.

Every new product has problems. It is BMW's failure to address theirs that ruled out the 800GS for me.

I had my ECU flashed with the upgrade this morning. I had no stalling problems though.

there is a center stand recall too...
Triumph has recalled 668 Tiger 800 and Tiger 800 XC (2010-2011) motorcycles due to center stand issues.
Triumph says the optional accessory center stand assembly on Triumph Tiger 800 and 800 XC motorcycles built from Sept. 2010 through June 2011 contains a defective return spring that may break. If the spring breaks, the center stand may unexpectedly drop and drag along the road surface, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the return spring and repair the affected motorcycles free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet reported an owner notifications schedule. Owners may contact Triumph Customer Service at 1-678-854-2010.
Triumph's Safety recall is No. 430. Owners may also contact the Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit safercar.org.

Does the new flash include the arrow pipe mappings or is that going to be a different one?

From what I understand there are updates for all bike set ups. With Abs, without, arrow, stock etc.

......
It was a recall - finally! I know because I had the letter from BMW to return to the dealer for the replacement (after carrying a spare around for 18 months in the tank bag). Shame it took them so long
